Eulogy by Rachel Van Dyken Review

Eulogy by Rachel Van Dyken

Series: Eagle Elite, Volume 9

Release Date: February 20, 2018

All is lost.
All.
I don’t recognize myself in the mirror anymore.
My thoughts are filled with hatred and dripping with rage.
I’ve lost my soul.
She took it to the depths of hell with her and haunts me with images of what could have been.
Sixty lives are mine to take.
Sixty lives stand in the way of my vengeance.
Sixty lives, plus one more.
Mine.
When the last drop of blood falls–mine will be spilled.
Only one person stands in the way.
She doesn’t realize I’ll kill her too.
I don’t own a heart.
And even if I did–I wouldn’t fall prey to it’s lies again.
I am Chase Abandonato.
Heir to a legacy of betrayal.
And I will kill them all.
Even if it means pointing the gun at myself.
A life for a life.
A soul for a soul.
Now I lay me down to sleep…I pray the Lord my soul to keep.
Blood in. No out.

My Review of Eulogy by Rachel Van Dyken

My heart broke for Chase in Enrage. I was broken for him. I needed Eulogy to be his saving grace and I needed Rachel Van Dyken to make it up to him. With everything that Chase has been through since Elite, both the ups and the downs and everything he has given to this family – he DESERVES a happily ever after. Now, I know it’s the mafia and things won’t always work out that way but damn it, man, Chase deserves happiness!

Rachel Van Dyken brought out the big guns with a lot of twists in Eulogy. Be prepared to face the unexpected and remember to pack some tissues. You will laugh and cry and want to smack some really hot mafia guys. It’s okay. There are some heart-stopping moments but I swear that RVD will make it all right. That’s all part of the reading experience and I promise that you will love this book.

Eulogy is told from multiple points of view, and I really enjoyed getting to see everyone’s perspective as the book played out. Chase and Luc remain the main characters, but seeing bits and pieces of everyone’s thoughts made the story all that much more intriguing.

RVD weaves this story of a broken man and innocent woman that has so much emotion, so much hate and love and joy. Oh, and lots of tears. Rachel Van Dyken is the master of writing emotional drama. The moments between Luc and Chase are written so well that I can visualize these scenes on the big screen. I can see these characters and that is just one of the reasons that Eulogy will be one of the best in 2018.

Another brilliant story in the Eagle Elite Series and I cannot wait to read what Rachel Van Dyken has up her sleeve next.

5 Chase loving stars
