My Review
Okay, so as I’ve said before, I love some MC books…yummy! Nothing better than some hot and dirty sex – on a motorcycle no less! Wooh, I’m fanning myself now. I’ve read Ms. Millstead’s books, Sapphire and Emerald, and boy does she deliver. She is most definitely one of my favorite authors. This book may not have the MC violence, but she sure has covered all the other bases to be a true MC book.
Lacey Monroe came from a suburban family, where everyone around thinks it’s all peaches and cream in her family. Although nothing could be farther from the truth. Her mother was treated like a doormat by her father (both physically and verbally). After Lacey leaves home she becomes a wandering soul and never wants to put physical roots down, so to speak.
Years later, she goes back to Alabama where her one and only friend lives in Saltrock. Fast forward a little bit. We find that her best friend, Jenn, is dating the MC Prez, Switch. At a club party, she and Roam (VP) meet. That’s not entirely true. The didn’t meet, they banged and had a wild threesome. *insert HAWT sex here*
Lacey doesn’t find out his name until a few weeks later and they start a whirlwind romance. Of course, there is a change in plot where Lacey is scared and runs away for four years. When the going gets though, Lacey runs. Not realizing Roam will go to the edge of the earth to find her.
I sincerely hope Ms. Millstead continues her series, as I will be impatiently awaiting them 🙂
