My Review of Carter Reed by Tijan

I love this book! It honestly had me holding my breath from the first chapter onward. Carter Reed by Tijan is definitely not for the faint of heart, or those that aren’t into mob enforcers. Carter Reed is absolutely swoon worthy and holy moly, he’s super intense and totally hot. I’m drooling over here. 😉

I cannot imagine the horror that Emma has had to survive to get to where she is at the beginning of this book, but to handle what was thrown at her the moment she walked into her apartment…I don’t want to imagine those feelings.

I truly like Carter’s character a lot. He’s strong, but has this sweet and loving side that he only shows Emma. I cannot say enough about him and I love Carter and Emma’s relationship. He’s totally alpha-male and does everything in his power to protect her.

Emma kills, so if you aren’t into a heroine who can do that I just want to warn you ahead of time. Also, if you are into a lot of description in the sex scenes you won’t get that here. You know when they are having sex, but not so much about what is actually going on.  I actually liked the scenes as they were, it didn’t distract from the actual storyline that was going on and you could see where they where and when their relationship was growing.

I’m not usually one to share who I see in my head as a character, but Steve Burton is absolutely Carter Reed in my head. I watched him for years as Jason on General Hospital and even got the chance to meet him at Super Soap Weekend one year. Hands down my number 1 choice for Carter. 😉

So this is actually going to be a 4 star or a 4.5 star for me. It was really good, kept my interest and has a happily ever after. Definitely a must-read.
