My Review of Alabama Sons by E.A. Whitehead

Okay, one word to describe this book: SWEET! This is a quick read with a story of young love, trust, and finding where you really belong in the world.

Jackson is the super-hunky, sweet, southern boy, and musician. He really is the total package of southern sexiness. 😉 They are both young, but Jackson has already finished college and Penny has taken a break from college. They meet one night and spend the summer learning about each other. It may be a sweet book, but there are definitely some steamy scenes. In his apartment, in an abandoned truck, in her bed.

Penny has some issues she’s trying to work through regarding her past and Jackson’s past blows up in his face. Ahh! Okay, so there really isn’t much angst, but there’s enough to slap the characters and tell them to get their act together.

This is the first book in The Sons Trilogy and I look forward to reading the rest of the series.  The secondary characters of Boone and Darla kept my interest and I’d like to see more of them in the next book.

About the Author

  • E.A. Whitehead is the author of Alabama Sons, book one of The Sons Trilogy. She spends an unhealthy amount of time ‘pinning’ things and getting lost in a fantasy world where everything is DIY and she owns a 12-room house to decorate. She obsesses over hockey (go Bruins!), all things Harry Potter, and her cats Little Bear and Baby Girl. She also believes that Wanderlust will cure your soul, live your dreams passionately!
