My Review of A Bride for a Billionaire by Lauren Hawkeye
What’s to happen when a man of wealth stops to help a young lady from getting stabbed, when a would be thief tries to take her purse in the middle of an airport?
Well little did Matteo know he would need Riley more than ever. Matteo is at the reading of his asshole of a Father’s Last Will and Testament with his crazy step sister. Yes, you heard me right she is cuckoo for cocoa puffs crazy. He needs a bride to keep his Father’s empire up and running – if he decides that’s what he truly wants Poor Riley, she’s of the innocent kind. She’s been studying abroad trying to further herself away from her past and make a better future for tomorrow.
She didn’t know she’d truly fall in love with Matteo, but his past comes back to haunt them. Not knowing if the marriage will really work out, but Riley refuses to give up.
I’m giving this book a 3.5 stars, I absolutely hate to do it, because it could be a really good book. It just needs more depth. For everyone to have such a tragic past – it barely touches the surface. It needs more character development and then I could totally see this book being 4.5 star book.
