My Review of Chasing Charlie by Kathy Carmichael

If you have a couple of hours free and are looking for a light, funny, quick read then look no further. Chasing Charlie by Kathy Carmichael moves quickly in both the pace of the book and the romance department.

Charlie is the librarian looking to spice up her life with a new dress. That dress seems to make men (a man) fall all over himself. Actually, not so much but once she buys the dress Davis walks into her life. It’s a whirlwind from then on. Pretending to be engaged so his mom will move on with her love life, Charlie and Davis find romance in the unlikeliest of places. Each other.

Chasing Charlie is sweet, sassy and clever. There isn’t any heat is this book, just pure romance. I’d actually like to read the rest of the series. I was pleasantly surprised with how much I liked this quick read. The characters were easy to relate to and I really enjoyed Davis’s Mom Ellen’s character.

If you like cowboys, be sure to check out Chasing Charlie as you’ll meet a man with a heart of gold who falls head first for an elfish librarian.
