Cheater by Rachel Van Dyken
Lucas Thorn wasn’t born a cheater. All it took was a single moment—say, a certain disastrous incident on the night before his wedding—and boom. Reputation destroyed forever and always. So now he owns it. He has a lady friend for every night of the week (except Sundays—God’s day and all), and his rules are simple: No commitments. No exceptions.
But a certain smart-mouthed, strawberry blonde vixen is about to blow that all to hell.
Avery Black has never forgiven Lucas for cheating on her sister. And suddenly being forced to work with him is pretty much a nightmare on steroids. Of course, it does afford her the opportunity to make his life as difficult as possible. But no good revenge scheme comes without payback. Because he didn’t become the Lucas Thorn without learning a few things about women.
Now Avery’s lust for vengeance has turned into, well, lust. And if Lucas stops cheating, it’s definitely not because he’s falling in love…
My Review of Cheater by Rachel Van Dyken
Stop what you are doing and buy this book. It is not a traditional cheating book and it is not what you think! It is a wonderful friends-to-enemies-to-lovers romance that is very entertaining. Yes, there are women, but if everyone is on the same page, who cares? Well, that’s where it gets tricky and once Avery falls back into Lucas Thorn’s life what happens is anyone’s guess.
I hate that Lucas considers himself a cheater, in fact, I hate that everyone considers him a cheater. But, you have to read this story to find out the truth of the matter. Rachel Van Dyken has swept us away once again with a delicious story that will have you hooked from the word go. She delves into the heart of the matter and with only a few heartbreaks gives us a flawless love story.
I enjoyed the twists throughout the story and I think they kept me on my toes. All of the differences in the “girls” versus what Lucas truly wanted. Lucas as a character is funny, charming, witty, and sexy. Says just the right thing, although maybe at not always the right times. Avery is young, funny, and out for vengeance. Well, until she actually gets to know Lucas again. I loved, loved, loved this story and it makes me want to buy each of you a copy.
Lust, passion, hatred, quirkiness, love, and romance all rolled into a fun weekend read from Rachel Van Dyken. RVD knows how to keep you on edge throughout the book and that makes this love story one to read.
P.S. It’s not what you think! Get it and find out why I’m in love with Lucas Thorn.
