Synopsis

Emily Taylor is a twenty-six year-old event planner who has made a career out of dating; with the majority of it ending up as a complete nightmare. She is driven, motivated, and rising to the top in her career…but not in her love life. However, a random car accident will change her life forever.

Avery Martin is a country boy stuck in the city working his dream job of being a fire fighter. Over the years he has given up a lot, including dating, to focus on his career. Responding to a car accident one day he becomes overly involved with the woman he is rescuing.

Will these two find love, or will amnesia cost them the future they might have had?

My Review

Crashed by Danielle A. Elwood is a fun, beach read – especially since it takes place in Daytona Beach! 😉

Emily and Avery meet by chance. Avery is a very handsome firefighter for the Daytona Beach Fire Department. Let me say that again. Smoking.Hot.Firefighter. Are you with me now? Yep. Thought so. Add to that, he’s a country boy from Georgia with a Southern drawl and OMG, not sure if I can stand much more!

I grew up around firefighters as my dad was a Lieutenant with Orange County Fire and Rescue. Since I’ve always been around them,  firefighters are close to my heart. That is what initially drew me into the book. I read it in one sitting, mainly because I couldn’t put it down.

Emily and Avery’s story was emotional and I couldn’t walk away from it. I read it from start to finish without putting it down. Danielle A. Elwood takes you on a journey of tragedy, love, romance and fate. I love the way she draws the reader inside her characters and you feel like you are a part of the story, just watching it unfold.

I love how strong Emily’s character was, and how she followed her instincts when it came to Avery. They went through a lot as a couple, in just a short amount of time. Death of a parent, stalking/break ins and other life changing things that I’m not going to discuss (no spoilers here).  I’m very happy to say that this is a complete book with no cliffhangers. I know some readers aren’t into cliffhangers, so here’s a complete book with a happily ever after.

Just so you know, Avery is officially my book boyfriend. Strong, caring, hot, sexy (same as hot?), FIREFIGHTER. Yum.
