My Review of The Edge of Darkness by Melissa Andrea
Right and wrong had taken a flying leap, along with common sense and my body’s natural ability to breathe as he backed me up against the wall.
I purchased this book from Amazon when they had it on sale for free. That being said, it has been in my Kindle for a little while. I’ve been in a bit of a book funk as of late and just haven’t found anything that could hold my attention. I found The Edge of Darkness in my Kindle library yesterday and decided to give it a try and I’m so glad I did.
The Edge of Darkness by Melissa Andrea is a well-written, engaging story about tragedy, love, and lies. Emotionally gripping tragedy mixed with sweet romance and first time love. At 414 pages, I had this read in an evening although I did stay up way passed by bed-time. π Told from dual point of views, we see the struggles that both Araya and Ryland face with their families, his siblings, and their attraction to one another.
Romance, new friendships, and a lot of emotions are revealed throughout the story. Only downfall with the story is that it is a cliffhanger, but it isn’t a hold-your-breath-edge-of-your-seat cliffhanger. It’s one that leaves you wondering what’s going to happen next in their lives and I for one will be reading The Grace in Darkness (Book 2).
