The mafia men of New York Times bestselling author Sarah Castille’s Ruin & Revenge series are hard, hot, and ruthless. They show no weakness and take no prisoners. But the right woman can soften their stone cold hearts and make them come alive with dark desire.

Now a ruthless crime boss in Las Vegas, he lets nothing touch his frozen heart…until a smoldering encounter with a beautiful stranger ignites his passion. One night isn’t enough for a man who takes what he wants—and Luca will do whatever he can to possess his mysterious temptress…

Police detective Gabrielle Fawkes lives for revenge. She lost everything at the hands of an unforgiving ruler of the Vegas underworld. Now she wants to see him six feet under. But when a near-fatal attack leads her into Luca’s arms, what was meant to be one night of unbridled passion becomes something forbiddingly more. Luca has his own agenda, but when strong, determined, kick-ass detective Gaby sets her sights on her target, Luca feels compelled to stand by her side and protect her at all costs. However, pursuing danger comes at a high price—and both Gaby and Luca must work together in order to eliminate the dark enterprise that threatens them, in Luca by Sarah Castille.

My Review of LUCA by Sarah Castille

Sarah Castille has filled LUCA with steaminess, drama, and (best of all!) the mafia. This is the second book in the Ruin & Revenge series and I think it’s even better than the first. Can a good girl and a bad boy fall in love and how will they make it work?

Filled with guns, gangsters, and sexiness, Luca and Gabrielle have to face struggles and life-altering decisions if they are going to survive unscathed. Sarah Castille gives us a complete story filled with action and suspense. The story was intense, but Matteo added a bit of lightheartedness to the story as a whole. Luca’s mother added another dimension in the form of pushing Luca to be the best guy he could be. Don’t all moms want that for their kids?

While there were moments that Gabrielle came across as naive, I still found strength in her character and enjoyed her moments with Luca. The twists and turns within the storyline added to my overall enjoyment of the book. If you like a good mafia romance with a good girl/bad boy theme, then go ahead and pick up LUCA for your weekend beach read.
