My Review

I had the worst book hangover after reading REAL. You’ll see in my review that I couldn’t pick up a new book for days because I was so emotionally invested with Remy and Brooke. Katy Evans made me hold my breath, yell, and want to throw my eReader across the room with the scenes in REAL. That being said, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on MINE (book 2). Luckily, I received an advanced reading copy to satisfy my Remy addiction.

MINE begins six months after Brooke and Remy are reunited. It’s also the beginning of the next tour for Remy. Katy Evans brings back all our favorite characters from REAL, and even brings back someone we hate. If you are afraid that MINE won’t live up to REAL, think again! Remy and Brooke are just as hot and steamy as they were in REAL. There’s still a little drama, a lot of SEX, and even a little forced separation.

From the first chapter, I was steeling myself for what was going to happen. I wanted Remy and Brooke to find their Happily Ever After. I wanted Remy to get better and I wanted love to prevail. I’m not going to tell you if ALL of that happens, but I’m happy to say that there is a very happy, happily ever after. 😉

We get all those great fight scenes, including how it makes Brooke feel when he’s up there in the ring. I think those are some of my favorite scenes. There are also some intensely dark scenes involving Remy being blue or black. Ripping-my-heart-out scenes when he has black eyes. Even now, and it’s been over a week since I read it, it still grips my heart to think about.

Katy Evans does it again. Remy is absolutely, hands down, still my favorite BBF. I’m not giving up the other ones, but HOLY CRAP I love Remy!

I can’t wait for the next book in the REAL Series, Remy.
