Baseball wasn’t supposed to be a game of life and death…
The summer that Chase Stern entered my life, I was seventeen. The daughter of a legend, the Yankees were my family, their stadium my home, their dugout my workplace. My focus was on the game. Chase … he started out as a distraction. A distraction with sex appeal poured into every inch of his six foot frame. A distraction who played like a god and partied like a devil.
I tried to stay away. I couldn’t.
Then, the team started losing.
Women started dying.
And everything in my world broke apart.
My Review
What I said on Facebook the morning after I finished:
Book hangover right here! I stayed up until 1:30 this morning reading Moonshot by Alessandra Torre. If there was ever a must read book – this is it! I could smell the grass on the field, I could FEEL the touches, and I was captivated by these characters. Alessandra has always had a way with words and creating her own brand of twisty romance, but this may just be my FAVORITE Torre read yet.
I DEVOURED this book. Let’s just say that I will be drinking a pot of coffee today to stay awake because I was up until early morning hours reading Moonshot. Contemporary romance, with twisty turns, spectacular sex scenes, and murder. That all sounds about right for an Alessandra Torre read, right? Absolutely, but this one is particularly great because I was immediately captivated by these characters. They all had heart, feeling, raw emotion, and damn it, I loved them.
Ty is strong and feisty, sassy and sarcastic. All in all, she’s every young tomboy and she’s entrenched herself in this baseball family. Raised from a young age by her dad, this life is all that she knows, but can a sexy bad-boy, who looks good in baseball pants offer her something else? Chase, Chase, Chase. All I can say is that Alessandra knows how to write sexy as hell heroes, even ones with serious character flaws. Damn, I love his character. Strong and swoon-worthy, Chase makes for a fantastic book boyfriend.
Throughout the book I could smell the grass on the field, I could FEEL the touches, and I was captivated by these characters. There is so much emotion in Moonshot that I couldn’t stop myself from turning the page, reading more of this love story, even though it meant I wouldn’t get much sleep. The only thing I hate is that I’ll never be able to read it again for the first time. It’s that whole waiting for the best and then reading it, then it being over. The kindle is off, but this book will stay with me for quite a while.
Brilliant writing, strong emotions, and fantastic sex scenes make Moonshot by Alessandra Torre a must-read. My favorite Torre book yet.
