My Review of Number Thirteen by Bella Jewel
I hate him. God. I do. But part of me…just a tiny part…is warming towards him.
This was not an easy book to read. There. That being said, it was an incredible story of salvation and brutal honesty. Even if that brutal honesty is messed up and not really said outright. Make sense? Eh, let me make this a short story. He may look like a monster, but has the heart of an angel. I loved this book. I’ve actually read it multiple times, because I keep finding new moments in the book that I missed the first time.
Number Thirteen is in no way a hearts and fairies book. It is dark, it messes with your head, and makes you look at life in an entirely different way. At least that’s what it did to me.
I want you to go through this journey on your own, so I’m not going to give any of the story away. No spoilers here, but just know that beauty can be found in even the darkest moments.
