Oblivion by Jessica Wood Review

My Review of Oblivion by Jessica Wood

Life wasn’t about playing it safe. It was about following one’s heart.

Oblivion by Jessica Wood is a full-length novel and a complete story. When we first meet Olivia “Liv” she is waking up from a coma and has amnesia. We meet her fiance’ Connor at the same time as he has been waiting by her side at the hospital. Even though she doesn’t remember her fiance’ she decides to go home with him and take it slow until she gets her memory back.

We meet Ethan James when he saves Liv from a fall as she’s leaving the hospital. That’s all of the plot I’m giving to you because I liked how the story unfolded and think it’s better to read it as it happens in the book and not through a review.

From the beginning things were tense between Liv and Connor because of her lack of memory and Connor seems a bit controlling. Ethan is always running into her at just the right times. Is the connection she feels for Ethan real or is it because of her amnesia? Is Connor really all that he seems? What was life like before Liv’s accident? All these questions are answered and then some as you read the story.

With a good plot and great twists, Oblivion by Jessica Wood has made it onto my “beach read” list this year.
