Synopsis

Now I was trapped in a never-ending nightmare and living a life that was no longer my own. At least I wasn’t completely alone, but Ky Wakely was the kind of man that made you wish you were. Sure he was easy on the eyes, but everything else about that man drove me utterly insane. I suppose every dream comes with a price, but when it’s your life, was it a price I was willing to pay?
My Review of Protecting Lyndley
This is the first book that I’ve read from Amanda Bennett and overall I thought it was a good story. Lyndley (Sarah) is a witness in protective custody and Ky is her handler. I have a high tolerance for suspension of disbelief. I’m able to say ‘yep, that’s far fetched, but works in the story’ and that’s exactly what parts of this book scream. There are some over the top situations and some aren’t entirely believable, but they add to the back story for the characters.
If you like action packed books with bad guys, sexual tension, and a happily ever after then Protecting Lyndley will be right up your alley. I’m not a huge fan of either Lyndley or Ky, but together they work and I like their chemistry. For those that like suspense mixed with twists and turns, I think you’ll enjoy the US Marshal Series.
I’ll definitely be reading more books from Amanda Bennett. I’d put this in my lazy Sunday afternoon sweet read category. I’m actually looking forward to the second book in this series, Chasing Carson.
