My Review

So I have been waiting and waiting for this book. Well, the wait was most definitely worth it. I think this may be one of Missy Johnson’s best books yet. The writing is spot on and she weaves such a delicious tale of love, lies, and trust. OMG! Missy Johnson nails the edge-of-your-seat-wth-is-going-to-happen feeling! *Note, that this is not a hearts and fairies book, but there is romance, a bit of swooning, and a happily ever after.

What does an up and coming lawyer have in common with a grease monkey whose family has a shady past. Love, that’s what they have in common. The chemistry between Leeta and Mace is powerful and all consuming.

One thing may tear them apart, aside from Leeta’s family. Mace is hiding a big secret. One, that if Leeta finds out could destroy them both – as well as the bond they share together.

“Nobody’s perfect, but some things just can’t be forgiven…can they?”

When Leeta uses Mace’s computer to finish up some work, she comes across some damning evidence that could make her believe Mace is breaking the law. So, what does she do…she hibernates. After Mace puts two and two together, he decides to kidnap Leeta to make her see reason. That there’s a reason behind what she saw on his computer. He’s trying to avenge his sister’s death. The only way he knows how, but he may lose Leeta in the process.

This book has so many twists and turns, ups and downs. I was sucked into it’s vortex within the first chapter. These two characters are so full of depth. They make you want to crawl inside the book just so you can be that fly on the proverbial wall. As I said, I do believe that this is my favorite book yet from Missy Johnson.
