My Review of Rip by Rachel Van Dyken

Wow! Just, wow. I’ve been a fan of RVD for quite a while now, but I have not read the Elite Series (I will now, though). Rip by Rachel Van Dyken is a stand-alone, romantic suspense book that is loosely tied to the Elite Series books. Having not read the Elite Series, I can attest to the fact that I still knew what was going on with all of the characters and felt a connection to all.

I knew RVD could write comedy, because The Dare is my go-to book when I need a laugh. What I didn’t realize is she can kick some romantic suspense butt. Dark, gritty, sexy, and filled with breath-stealing moments. This is an absolutely crazy book with insane characters, but this is a story that will stay with you. Yes: there is romance. Yes: there is death. I guarantee that you will be hooked from the first scene. Hooked, I tell you! Warning: If you can’t handle lots of blood you should stop now. There is a lot of blood in this book.

Nikolai may be hard and broody, but really there’s something more underneath his hard exterior. It’s just that getting to that soft part may take more than Maya can handle. With an awesome story line and intriguing characters, Rip is a must read romantic suspense.

Now, I’m off to download the Elite Series because those guys have some interesting stories…and they’re hot! 😉
