Safe and Sound by T.S. Krupa Review

My Review of Safe and Sound by T.S. Krupa

I don’t usually read these types of books, but I couldn’t help myself. I was hooked from the very first chapter. I truly mean it When I say have a box of tissues ready. I was devastated during the first 6 chapters, but then I saw the power of healing.

Oh, Jill and Jay. The sweetest love one could ever believe in. Literally, I was in the book looking on as a bystander. One day they’re planning the future and in the next moment life is horrible shattered.

This story line follows the ups and downs of Jill’s mourning, her recovery, and her road to hope. Jay was the best husband a woman could have.  Words couldn’t explain the amount how much he loved Jill.

She has two very funny, very loving, and very endearing friends – Stella and Janie. These girls were her rock, her compass, and much to Jill’s frustration, baby-sitters in her time of need.

They always dreamed of living by the ocean. Little did she know that he was in the midst of making that dream her reality when doom hit her. Upon finding out that her dream home is now hers, she makes some drastic changes to her life. She’s trying to get over the loss and her anger towards everyone that was taken away from her, when she meets Ross. He gives her a solid piece of advice – “hope.”

Ross and Jill become friends and over the course of months, and I do mean months because heck she’s still grieving over Jay. She and Ross develop a bond. A bond that starts out as friends but becomes more.

This book was seriously heart wrenching. I cried most of the way through it, but it was so agonizingly good I couldn’t but the darn book down, my children were looking at me like I was crazy….crying over a book. Oh, but it was worth the tears.
