Uncovering You by Scarlett Edwards

My Review
When you wake up in a room filled with marble and no memory of how you got there. What would you do?
Well Lilly does this: she perseveres, and she does it all while being stuck. Like a dog. No other living person with her, only herself and her memories.
It all starts in college when she takes a prestigious offer from a company in California. She has to take this job. Her debt is piling up and she doesn’t have anyone else to fall back on except herself.
After being at the company, and cancelling her classes for the semester she thinks life is peachy. Little did she know doom was on the horizon.
Enter Mr. Stoneheart – and a chance meeting to hopefully start a new career at a different company. She goes to meet him at a restaurant only for her to be a few minutes late and for him to get up and leave. She sits back drinks the wine he ordered for her, and wakes up somewhere she has no recollection of.
This book goes back in forth between present and past. It makes you think. It makes you feel. It makes your emotions come alive.
I give this book 4.5 stars. It’s short, but it’s also the first book in the series, and like I said before it’s not like most dark books you read. It’s the beginning of how everything comes full circle.
