My Review Of Broken Crown by Rachel Van Dyken

While reading Broken Crown by Rachel Van Dyken, my husband came into the room, took one look at me, hugged me, and then asked if I needed tissues or an enormous glass of wine. I said yes to both.

RVD has taken us on a journey over the past decade and destroyed our hearts, only giving pieces back a little at a time. Broken Crown is no different. Beautifully written and emotionally draining–King’s story is everything. Be ready for anything to happen. Go in expecting the unexpected and to be cheering and ugly crying (at the same time) by the end.

This is the ending to the story that her readers needed and, most likely, the ending that the characters needed and deserved. The characters–the building blocks of this epic mafia story–are there making us laugh, making us cry, and making us yell at the book we’re reading, while still somehow making us swoon.
