Top Romance Books of 2016
It’s that time again! I’m going to break down my top romance books of 2016. There have been books that have made me bawl, and pray for wine and tissues. There have been books that have made me laugh so hard I thought, well let’s not talk about that. Suffice it to say that there have been romance novels that have hit the mark this year and I cannot wait to share my favorites with you.
Now, I know that I am only one person and have not read every book out there. This list is based on the books that I, myself have read this year. Feel free to share your favorites in the comments section, below.
These are my top reads, in no particular order.
Beard Science by Penny Reid
You know, because Penny Reid has this smart romance thing down to a science. Her characters are witty, funny, and absolutely swoon-worthy. Read full review.
Empire by Rachel Van Dyken
I just can’t even with this book. Rachel Van Dyken has given us redemption from Elude and this is the perfect conclusion to Sergio’s story. Read full review.
Harley & Rose by Carmen Jenner
Carmen Jenner broke me down so much that my only fix was wine and tissues. Lots of both. Harley & Rose is a beautifully written story filled with so much emotion. Read full review.
Love, Chloe by Alessandra Torre
Love, Chloe is one of my favorite RomComs from Alessandra Torre. Funny, witty, sexy, and is a complete stand-alone. Read full review.
Unseen Messages by Pepper Winters
Unseen Messages by Pepper Winters wasn’t a book, it was an emotional experience. The story has stayed with me and I can still picture the images from the words, in my head. Read full review.
Hardball by CD Reiss
When you’re looking for a dirty-talking ball player and an unassuming librarian, check out Hardball by CD Reiss. Read full review.
Ink & Lies by S.L. Jennings
Complex characters inside an emotional roller coaster will keep you reading Ink & Lies by S.L. Jennings. Read full review.
Rachel Van Dyken created a sweet romance and a marshmallow-loving, broken Musician named Zane. He hits all the right buttons in this Y.A. romance. Read full review.
Finley by Ella Frank
M/M. A student/teacher storyline that evolves and is so real. Loved every minute of Finley by Ella Frank from strat to finish. Read full review.

Emotionally charged stand alone from Carmen Jenner. Unbelievably real and so moving. What a fabulous book. Read full review.
